UPDATE: Cloud Storage Studio has been replaced by Azure Management Studio.
Today we discontinued our Omega.MSSQL and Cloud Storage Studio/e products. Main reasons for discontinuation of these products were: One, these products were not updated in a long-long time and Two, our focus has changed from building browser based applications to building desktop based applications. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused because of this but we believe in the long run it is for better.
While all the products developed by us are important to me, Omega.MSSQL holds a special place. This was the first product being built by me. This started as a hobby project by me and was one of the reasons I started this company.
I’m especially proud of Cloud Storage Studio/e. It was the first application in the market which gave users complete Windows Azure Storage management capabilities (Tables, Blobs, and Queues). However the moment we released it in beta, we came to a conclusion that in order to harness complete power of Windows Azure Storage users would need an application which can make use of the capabilities offered by a Windows Desktop which thus lead to the development of Cloud Storage Studio. Also we firmly believe that an application should be faithful to the platform in a sense that it should offer capabilities to manage all things that a platform (Windows Azure Storage in this case) has to offer. Unfortunately Cloud Storage Studio/e was not kept up to date with the latest changes offered by Windows Azure platform.
As a replacement for Cloud Storage Studio/e, I would strongly recommend that you use Cloud Storage Studio Azure Management Studio.
As an organization we’re committed to building developer utilities for Windows Azure Platform and this has been evident from all the tools being built here at Cerebrata. You can check out all of our products here.
Again I apologize for any inconvenience caused because of our decision to discontinue these products.
