Azure Subscription

Azure Subscription provide a billing boundary for your Azure accounts. Azure Subscription is supported in our Azure Management Studio product.

Overview

 

Azure Subscription provide a billing boundary for your Azure accounts. Using Azure Management Studio, you can connect to your Azure Subscriptions from that desktop and manage your Azure Subscriptions from the convenience of your desktop. Azure Management Studio supports connecting to your Azure Subscriptions using your Management Certificates making it super simple to manage your Azure resources.

Azure Resource Manager (ARM)

 

General

  • Connect: Connect to one or more of your Azure Subscriptions in Azure General regions using your Azure Active Directory credentials.
  • Friendly Name: Assign a friendly name to your Azure Subscriptions in the tool for easier recognition.
  • Connection Group: Assign a connection group e.g. "Development", "Production", "QA" to your Azure Subscriptions for resource categorization.
  • Properties: View subscription properties.

Resource Groups

  • List: List resource groups in an Azure Subscription.
  • Create: Create resource group in an Azure Subscription.
  • Edit: Change resource group properties.
  • Delete: Delete one or more resource groups from your Azure Subscription. Please note that deleting a resource group will delete all resources inside that resource group.

Storage Accounts

  • List: List Azure Resource Manager storage accounts in an Azure Subscription.
  • Create: Create Azure Resource Manager storage account in an Azure Subscription.
  • Edit: Change storage account properties like storage account's redundancy type, tags etc.
  • Keys: View account keys for storage account. You can also regenerate account keys from the tool itself.
  • Delete: Delete one or more storage accounts from your Azure Subscription.
  • Data Management: You can also manage data in these storage accounts. For a list of storage data management features, please see Azure Storage.

Virtual Machines

  • List: List Azure Resource Manager virtual machines in an Azure Subscription.
  • Properties: View properties of a virtual machine.
  • Stop: Stop a running virtual machine.
  • Start: Start a stopped virtual machine.
  • Start: Start a stopped virtual machine.
  • Restart: Restart a running virtual machine.
  • Capture: Capture image of a stopped virtual machine.
  • Connect: Connect to a virtual machine using Remote Desktop Connection.

Classic Subscriptions

 

General

  • Connect: Connect to one or more of your Azure Subscriptions in Azure General regions using a publish profile file or management certificate..

Cloud Services (Web/Worker Role)

  • Cloud Services: Manage (list, create etc.) cloud services in an Azure Subscription.
  • Certificates: Manage cloud service certificates.
  • Deployments: Manage cloud service deployments.
  • Roles & Role Instances: Manage cloud service role (web and/or worker).
  • Diagnostics: View/manage cloud service diagnostics.

Affinity Groups

  • List: List affinity groups in an Azure Subscription.

  • Edit: Change affinity group properties.
  • Delete: Delete one or more affinity groups from your Azure Subscription.

Service Bus

  • List: List Service Bus namespaces in your Azure Subscription.
  • Create: Create Service Bus namespace in your Azure Subscription.
  • Delete: Delete one or more namespaces from your Azure Subscription.
  • Properties: View Service Bus namespace properties.
  • Queues: Manage queues and messages in a Service Bus namespace*.
  • Topics: Manage topics and subscriptions in a Service Bus namespace*.
* For managing queues and topics, we recommend that you use Cerulean.

SQL Database

  • SQL Servers: Manage SQL Servers in your Azure Subscription.
    • List: List SQL Servers in your Azure Subscription.
    • Create: Create SQL Server in your Azure Subscription.
    • Delete: Delete one or more SQL Servers from your Azure Subscription.
    • Password: Reset administrator password.
    • Properties: View SQL Server properties.
  • Databases: Manage SQL Databases.
    • List: List SQL Databases in your Azure Subscription.
    • Create: Create SQL Database in your Azure Subscription.
    • Delete: Delete one or more SQL Databases from your Azure Subscription.
